I am a Lecturer in Music at The Open University, where I contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate modules, supervise PhD students and serve as Qualification Lead in Music. I was an Associate Lecturer with the OU from 2008-16, and taught part-time in the Music Department at Durham University for several years. My research interests lie in the relationship between music and theology, especially through Methodist hymnody.
I have extensive experience of teaching pupils of all ages and abilities and currently maintain a small teaching practice in Durham, teaching pupils in piano, organ and theory of music. I currently have no vacancies for new pupils.
I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists and have wide-ranging experience and expertise as a church musician.
